    Master’s Degree Admission 2026 – 2027

    For the academic year 2026-2027, the Faculty of Law organizes admission to the following master’s programs with a duration of one year (2 semesters), the form of education – full-time:

    1. PRIVATE LAW INSTITUTIONS – in Romanian
    2. CRIMINAL SCIENCES AND FORENSICS – in Romanian
    3. EUROPEAN AND NATIONAL BUSINESS LAW – in Romanian
    4. INTERNATIONAL AND COMPARATIVE BUSINESS LAW – in English
    5. PRIVATE LAW OF THE EUROPEAN UNION – in Hungarian

    SELECTION CRITERIA:

    1. PRIVATE LAW INSTITUTIONS – in Romanian

    – Interview – with a weight of 50% in the final average

    – File evaluation – with a weight of 50% in the final average

    1. CRIMINAL SCIENCES AND FORENSICS – in Romanian

    – Written test lasting 2 hours, in Romanian, on the displayed topic, with a weight of 100% in the final average

    1. EUROPEAN LAW AND NATIONAL BUSINESS LAW – in Romanian

    – Interview – with a weight of 50% in the final average

    – File evaluation – with a weight of 50% in the final average

    1. INTERNATIONAL AND COMPARATIVE BUSINESS LAW – in English

    – Interview in English – with a weight of 50% in the final average

    – File evaluation – with a weight of 50% in the final average

    1. PRIVATE LAW OF THE EUROPEAN UNION – in Hungarian

    – Interview in Hungarian (based on a displayed topic) – with a weight of 50% in the final average

    – File evaluation – with a weight of 50% in the final average

    Tie-up criteria in case of equal averages:

    1. average obtained in the bachelor’s exam.
    2. general average of the years of study (1-4) – bachelor’s level

    ADMISSION CALENDAR, JULY 2026 SESSION:

    July 13-18, 2026 – Online registration of candidates on the platform https://admitere.ubbcluj.ro/ (the platform will close on July 18 at 12:00)

    July 19, 2026 – Period for reporting errors and omissions (wrong grades, incorrectly calculated averages, incorrect personal data) – until 14:00

    July 21, 2026 – Admission tests (written test/interview)

    July 22, 2026 – Displaying results

    July 22-23, 2026 – Submitting online appeals – exclusively for the written test

    July 24, 2026 – Resolving appeals

    July 24-28, 2026 – Confirmation of places and redistributions (on July 28 until 12:00). Confirmation will be made both online and physically by submitting the file, and candidates admitted to the fee will pay the first installment of tuition (1500 lei).

    July 29, 2026 -Display of final results

    ADMISSION CALENDAR, SEPTEMBER 2026 SESSION – within the limit of available places remaining after the July 2026 session

    7-8 September 2026 – Online registration of candidates (the platform will close on September 8 at 12:00)

    9 September 2026 – Period for reporting errors and omissions (wrong grades, incorrectly calculated averages, incorrect personal data) – until 14:00

    10 September 2026 – Admission tests (written test/interview)

    11 September 2026 – Displaying results

    11-12 September 2026 – Submitting online appeals – exclusively for the written test

    12 September 2026 – Resolving appeals

    12-14 September 2026 – Confirmation of places and redistributions (on September 14 until 12:00). Confirmation will be made both online, as well as physically by submitting the file, and the candidates admitted to the fee will pay the first installment of tuition (1,500 lei).

    September 15, 2026 – Display of final results

    TUITION FEES FOR THE YEAR 2026-2027 – will be displayed later

    IMPORTANT SPECIFICATIONS:

    Only graduates who cumulatively meet the following requirements can enroll in the master’s program:

    – minimum 4-year study duration, bachelor’s level (minimum 240 credits)

    – possession of a certificate of linguistic competence in an internationally spoken language.

    TUITION FEE – 6,000 lei/academic year

    ADMISSION FEE – 600 lei = composed of 200 lei processing fee + 400 lei registration fee.

    Payment of the fee will be made exclusively online on the admission platform https://admitere.ubbcluj.ro/. For fee exemptions, please consult the Admission Regulations of the Faculty of Law.

    REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:

    Candidates will upload scans of the following documents to the admission platform https://admitere.ubbcluj.ro/:

    1. Registration form – generated from the platform;
    2. Baccalaureate diploma and high school transcript;
    3. Bachelor’s degree and diploma supplement, respectively bachelor’s degree certificate (for graduates of the 2026 class)
    4. Language proficiency certificate (MANDATORY for all specializations)

    Linguistic proficiency is certified by the Language Proficiency Certificate issued by the modern language departments of accredited universities (with a qualification corresponding to at least level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages ​​of the Council of Europe). Accepted certificates can be found in the Admission Regulations.

    3. Medical certificate issued in 2026

    – in English for the study program – International and Comparative Business Law

    – in Romanian – for the study programs: European and National Business Law and Private Law Institutions

    Letter of intent:

    – in Hungarian for the study program Private Law of the European Union

    – in English for the study program International and Comparative Business Law

    – in Romanian – for the study programs: European and National Business Law and Private Law Institutions

    Letter of recommendation for the study program International and Comparative Business Law

    For candidates with studies in another country

    1. For candidates, Romanian citizens, with a Romanian identity card, but who have completed their bachelor’s degree studies in another country, proof of equivalence of studies is required.
