Treaty on European Union Law in the Field of Competition

The Faculty of Law is pleased to note the publication, by the C.H. Beck Publishing House, of an impressive Tratat de dreptul Uniunii Europene în domeniul concurenței, authored by Professor Ioan Lazăr (Faculty of Law, “1 Decembrie 1918” University of Alba Iulia) and Junior Lecturer Laura Lazăr (Faculty of Law, Babeș-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca).

As Professor Sergiu Deleanu aptly observes, this treaty represents one of the few comprehensive works in the Romanian language addressing the complex issues surrounding the Union’s rules in the field of competition. The volume takes into account the significant developments that have occurred in recent years at the intersection of economic and legal dimensions.

The work draws on and gives prominence to numerous judgments of the Court of Justice of the European Union, as well as various European Commission communications relating to competition matters, all supported by an extensive bibliography. The volume is available from C.H. Beck Publishing House.
