About Faculty
License
The Faculty offers a main study program with a duration of 4 years (both full-time – FT, and distance learning – DL), leading to the award of a Bachelor’s degree in Law.
Master
Several master’s programs are also offered:
- Private Law Institutions
- Criminal Sciences and Criminology
- European Law and National Business Law
- Private Law of the European Union (in Hungarian)
- International and Comparative Business Law (in English)
PhD
The Faculty offers the possibility to pursue a PhD in the following fields:
- Civil Law
- Commercial Law
- Criminal Law
- Special Criminal Law
- Criminal Procedural Law
- Roman Law
- Administrative Law
Graduates of the Faculty of Law can hold various positions, namely:
- Magistrates (judges and prosecutors)
- Judicial auxiliaries (judicial assistants, bailiffs, land registry officers, court clerks, secretaries at courts and prosecutor’s offices)
- Lawyers and their assistants within law firms or private practices
- Notaries public and their assistants
- Legal advisors in commercial companies, autonomous administrations, or national companies
- Civil servants in central and local public administration
- Managers or advisors in their own businesses
- Experts for governmental or non-governmental institutions
- Police officers and security services personnel
- Any other position requiring legal training
